Ratisha Bolin graduated from Judson University with her Masters Degree in Business Administration in 2019.
She first came to Judson at a point in her life when she was looking to make a shift in her career. She was working full-time in corporate America and was also a minister part-time, but felt that she was being called to pursue full-time ministry. However, she found out quickly that her plans were different from God’s plans.
“Although at that time I thought I wanted to go into full-time ministry, God slowly began to reveal to me that if everyone that loved Him, and worshiped Him, and followed Him, and represented Him only resided in a church then who would be out in the world, out in the marketplace, sharing the good news? So, I decided to come to Judson to intersect my faith and my career instead.”
For over 22 years, Ratisha has served in a variety of roles within supply chain management doing everything from sales, to customer service, demand planning, project management , deployment, ex*****on, transportation, supply planning, and today she works in procurement for Sara Lee.
Ratisha stays connected to Judson by serving as the Vice Chair of the Judson Alumni Association Board. “I know that God has equipped and designed me to be a leader, and this truth was encouraged and shown to me while I was in my leadership courses at Judson, and I know that I can serve him through my work.”
She has noticed God in multiple spaces in her life outside of Judson, and she is able to “live out loud as a Christian,” thanks to what she learned in her time on campus. As a student, she found “an environment where love and grace coincide with accountability,” and today she carries those same values with her wherever she goes. She has been able to contribute more to all aspects of her life, including her job, providing a safe space for others to feel comfortable sharing. She says Judson has equipped her with the tools to become the best version of herself and has provided her with a way to shine her light upon others. “No matter what you are going through in life with God nothing is impossible,” she says.
When she approaches her work, God is her why and the foundation of all things that she has done and has yet to do. She knows he has supported her through her trials in life and has helped her support others through him. She has found her purpose in God, and with the help of her Judson educations, has made him the foundation of everything that she does.
When asked what word she would use to describe her Judson experience, she chose the word “joy,” saying, “No matter how many times I have engaged with Judson or the people here it truly makes me excited and brings me happiness, and I am left with the feeling of joy every time.”
