Elgin High School has a long tradition of being honored locally and regionally for its fine choirs, bands and orchestras. Elgin Friend of Music is an organization that has been formed to help support the music department of Elgin High School in Elgin, Illinois. It is our mission to raise funds so that we may help with the purchase of new instruments, pay for repairs of broken instruments, help pay for the royalties associated with the musical performances, and purchase any other items or otherwise supply funding to or for the benefit of the music department at Elgin High School. Any parent or family member of a music student is considered a "friend" and any amount of participation is greatly appreciated. All parents of music students are invited to attend monthly meetings. The Elgin Friends of Music (EFOM) meeting is held the 3rd Monday of each school month in the Band Room at 7:00 p.m. Can I still help? There are many ways to get involved with EFOM without attending a monthly meeting:
· Provide baked goods for concerts
· Donate items for Gift Basket Raffles
· Donate water bottles for sale at concerts and events
· Holiday Concert -help decorate stage
· Madrigal Dinner -help decorate; provide greenery and supplies; secure business donations
· Musical -concessions; backstage supervision; provide snacks for performers; props
· Band, Choir or Orchestra Concerts -help with bake sale table, sell raffle tickets, manning the auditorium doors during a concert,
· Do you sew? We need help hemming concert dresses and costumes for the musical.
· Make a donation to the EFOM Levels of Giving program
· Computer skills
· Do you have a special business service that you could donate? (printing, marketing, etc.)
