Heartfelt Calling A program of the South Carolina Foster Parent Association finding Foster and Adoptive families for SC children in need At least not here on Earth!

Being a Foster Parent is no small task and is downright difficult at times. Foster parenting is not for everyone, but for those who have a Heartfelt Calling to make a lasting impression and change lives, there is no greater reward.

Don’t you love coming home after a stressful day? Home is where we go when the world feels hard. It’s familiar. It’s where our people are.

But imagine if, on one of the hardest days of your life, you didn’t get to go home—and you also had to leave your school, your friends, your church, your team, and the community you know.

Right now, 38 children from Anderson County are placed outside of their home community because there simply aren’t enough local foster homes available for them.

Thirty-eight children who needed a safe place to land close to everything familiar—and there wasn’t a home available nearby.

Anderson County, we need you.

We need families willing to learn more about becoming foster parents. We need homes where children can experience safety and stability while staying connected to their schools, friends, siblings, activities, and community whenever possible.

You don’t have to have a perfect home or family.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You just need to be willing to ask, “Could our family make room for one more?”

Because when a child’s world has already been turned upside down, staying in their own community can mean one less thing they have to lose.
