Brethren Global Services, the Church of the Brethren mission in South Sudan, which is led by Pastor Athanasus Ungang, welcomed two visiting pastors who will provide leadership and enjoy fellowship and Bible study with South Sudan Church of the Brethren pastors in a gathering in Juba this week. Pictured are Felicien Nkunzimana, a District Executive, and Expert Bukene, founder and president, Church of the Brethren Burundi. Join us in praying for the participants and work of the gathering.

The Church of the Brethren national denominations that make up the Global Church of the Brethren Communion (GCBC) are in Brazil, Burundi, DR Congo, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras, India, Nigeria, Rwanda, Spain, Uganda, United States, and Venezuela. These images highlight their accomplishments at their in-person conference April 6-10, 2026. Enjoy!

The Uganda Church of the Brethren Radiant Star Orphanage & Junior School building project continues with funding from Brethren Disaster Ministries and various donors following a December 2025 storm that caused much damage. Since the beginning of 2026 the walls have been raised, the building roofed, and interior work begun. The children are curious about the building and looking forward to learning within it after the project is completed.
