The Latin American Motorcycle Association (L.A.M.A) was founded in 1977 in Chicago’s notorious Humboldt Park neighborhood. was intended as a Moto-Touring club with truly Democratic ideas. A lone chapter until the first chapter was started in Miami in 1995, LAMA became a National Association when the first national president was elected in 1996. In 1999 LAMA became an International Association with

chapters in Puerto Rico, Mexico, U.S.A. & Cuba. Presently LAMA has additional chapters in Uruguay, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain & Australia. LAMA was intended as the club of the 21st century and is a work in Progress, to be continued by the flow and ideas of new members in near and far off lands! LAMA is a club without borders. We have evolved into an “International Humanist Association”. We accept working people from all walks of life regardless of nationality, race, color, religion, social class, gender, age, brand of motorcycle, etc. We believe that it is more important to be human than to be Latin, Asian, black, white, etc! LAMA is one of the most respected clubs in the world. As a LAMA member there are doors opened to you in every city where we have chapters. To know LAMA is to visit the other chapters, especially chapters in other nations. LAMA is recognized as one of the most active long distance riding clubs in the world. Our women (DAMAS DE LAMA) accompany us on their own motorcycles, riding X-treme distances, which most Bikers find way too far and others find a challenge of endurance. LAMA by-laws were compiled through 30 years of experiences. It was not intended so that we carry a dictionary of rules to have few short hours of fun. On the other hand, there are times when difficulties occur, and that’s when they come in handy. YOU HAVE JUST JOINED ONE OF THE BEST CLUBS IN THE WORLD. WE CHALLENGE YOU TO HELP US IMPROVE IT. 🏍️ LAMA ELGIN WAS MOVING THIS WEEKEND 🏍️ 🖤💛❤️

What a weekend for the Elgin family! We kicked off Saturday with a productive meeting, taking care of business and continuing to move our chapter forward. Then it was time to hit the road! 🏍️🛣️We headed out for a great ride to Michigan, enjoying the miles, laughs, some pizza, and brotherhood & sisterhood along the way.

And because one day of riding just wasn’t enough 😂, the fun continued Sunday as we headed to Indianapolis for some of the BEST Jamaican food EVER! 🇯🇲🔥 Good food, good people, plenty of laughs, and even better memories.

By the time we made it home, we had about 700–750 miles under our belts for the weekend. Not too shabby huh?! 😎🏍️

Good meetings. Good rides. Good food. Great memories.

Just another weekend doing what we love with our LAMA family. 🏍️

What an incredible day celebrating LAMA Elgin’s 11th Anniversary!

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated with us. The support from our LAMA family, other chapters, friends, and the community was overwhelming. Seeing so many bikes, familiar faces, and new friends all in one place reminded us what this organization is really about:

family, respect, and the love of riding.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success—from our members who worked behind the scenes, to our vendors, volunteers, and everyone who took the time to spend their day with us. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to 11 amazing years of LAMA Elgin and to many more miles, memories, and brotherhood and sisterhood ahead.

It’s finally Anniversary Week! 🎉

We’ve been looking forward to this for a long time, and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone this Saturday!

If you’ve been thinking about coming, this is your sign!! Come out, enjoy some great food, amazing vendors, cornholes, great music, and even better company. Whether you’re family, friends, fellow riders, or just want to stop by and check us out, everyone is welcome.
