Elgin, let’s show up for our Huskies this Thursday and Friday as our student athletes kick off their home seasons — with both events carrying an important message of su***de awareness, prevention, and community support.

The Elgin Husky Volleyball team will dedicate their games to su***de awareness in honor of a student, athlete, son, brother, and friend lost far too soon. Fans and students are encouraged to wear PURPLE & TEAL and fill the gym with support. 💜🩵

Step Back in Time at the Elgin Museum’s Vintage Tea Party!

The Elgin Museum & Historical Society invites you to a special afternoon celebrating women’s suffrage and the 19th Amendment!

Saturday, September 12, 2026

Victorian dress is optional, but absolutely encouraged if you want to have a little fun with it!

Guests will enjoy an afternoon filled with history, entertainment, and a traditional tea experience, including:

Visits with 1900s Suffragettes.
An appearance by the Women’s Temperance Union Choir
A special tea presentation from Morning Star Blends of Pendleton, Traditional tea sandwiches, Scones & dessert.

Come enjoy a unique afternoon of local history while celebrating the women who fought for the right to vote!
