There are 4 ceremonies.
Mount Hope 8:45 This is about 10 minutes long follow by Catholic Mass.
Lakewood Memorial Park 9:15. This is about 10 minutes long.
Veteran’s Memorial Park 9:45. This is about 20 minutes long.
Bluff City Cemetery 11:00. This is about 1 hour long.
There is no parking at the GAR.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Bluff City Cemetery for the ceremony, and special thanks to all of the organizational members of EPMA, and volunteers who work to put on this great tribute each year! Well done! 🇺🇸

The day began with a ceremony at Mount Hope Cemetery. There was also a service to honor those buried at Lakewood Memorial Park. 🚨🚨 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to ensure the majestic Avenue of Flags is erected in time for Memorial Day!🚨🚨

WHEN: 9AM Monday May 19th

WHERE: Bluff City Cemetery Main Gate, 945 Bluff City Blvd, Elgin.

WHAT: Drilling out a year's worth of dirt and debris from concrete flag post holes so this year's flags can be erected in time.

WHO: YOU with a Cordless Drill and Extra Battery.

WHY: Because Elgin cares about all those veterans who sacrificed for our freedoms. 🇺🇸

WEATHER UPDATE: due to impending rain/thunderstorms this afternoon & evening, we will change removal of flags/poles for Avenue of Flags to Thursday at 9 a.m. so the flags have time to properly dry.

This is an EPMA call for Volunteer Help Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at Bluff City Cemetery. We will be removing poles and flags simultaneously from
the Avenue of Flags. This goes pretty fast if we get a big volunteer crowd.

Please share this and we hope to see alot of Folks from all EPMA groups.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone for your support and hard work again this year in getting the 2024 ceremony off the ground, coordinated, conducted, and then folks fed at the post ceremony lunch. Great work!
