❤️🦉WELCOME BACK OWLS 🦉❤️
ESEF would like to wish all of our Elgin students, teachers, faculty and staff a wonderful 2026–2027 school year! 📚🍎

Monday, we had the privilege of kicking off the new year by providing breakfast from Casey’s and LEV for the Elgin Public Schools Back-to-School Welcome Assembly and spending a few minutes sharing with our teachers and staff about ESEF, our mission, and the work we’re able to do right here in our schools.

So, in case you need a little ESEF refresher…

The Elgin Schools Education Foundation (ESEF) was established in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to inspire academic excellence by providing resources to enhance education at Elgin Public Schools.

We put that mission into action in two big ways:
🎓 Scholarships for graduating Elgin seniors
🍎 Classroom grants for Elgin educators

And we couldn’t do either without the generosity of our community!

Our funding comes from local businesses, individuals, alumni, community members and some very special people we want to recognize today — Elgin Public Schools teachers and staff who choose to contribute to ESEF directly through their paychecks. ❤️

Our educators already give so much of their time, talents and even their own resources to our students and classrooms. The fact that so many choose to give a little extra to ESEF means more than we can say — and we are incredibly grateful to be able to put those dollars right back to work for Elgin students and teachers.

Last school year, ESEF proudly funded $5,401.46 in classroom grants. From technology and music to yearbook, art and math classrooms, these grants are a pretty great example of what happens when our community invests in education. ❤️

We’re excited for another year of supporting the students and educators of Elgin Public Schools, and we have lots more to share as the year gets underway!

Big congratulations to our 2026 ESEF Senior Scholarship recipients! 🎓✨

These outstanding seniors have worked hard, led well, and made an impact in their schools and community and we are so proud to celebrate them! Each student completed an application and answered an essay prompt. We read some incredible essays this year- parents & loved ones, you should be so proud of your seniors! These recipients were selected through a blind read process by our scholarship committee comprised of ESEF Board Members and Community volunteers.

It’s one of our favorite days of the year!!! Senior Scholarship Day! We are headed to the Elgin Public Schools Awards Assembly to award and congratulate some well deserving Elgin Seniors with their ESEF Senior Scholarships this morning. Today we’re celebrating and thanking our incredible teachers and faculty during Teacher Appreciation Week and also the dedicated donating members of ESEF Parliament! Your generosity is more than a gift… it’s an investment in our students, your classrooms and the future of our school community.

Because of your support, ESEF Senior Scholarships help students pursue their dreams, and ESEF Classroom Grants provide your fellow teachers with resources that inspire learning and creativity every day.

We would like to say a special THANK YOU to those teachers and faculty that have graciously allowed us to share their names- please take a minute and celebrate them with us!

We’d like to say a big THANK YOU first and foremost to our Community Members and also to our ESEF board members that met last week for our Senior Scholarship selection process! 🦉📚

We are excited to announce we have awarded more scholarships than EVER, and we could not have done it without this group volunteering to read through applications and make those selections. Applications are read in a “blind read” process, then ranked and eventually selected for awards. STAY TUNED…We will be announcing those recipients in May at their awards assembly. 🎉🏆🎓
