Giving Thanks for our Friends
Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving are upon us — and because of the incredible generosity of our volunteers and donors, we were able to feed over 18,000 people in November! And remember — the month isn’t even over yet!
Thanks to you, we distributed more than 1,100 turkeys along with all the trimmings. But those numbers aren’t the best part. We heard story after story of people coming to express their gratitude for the food they desperately needed for their families. Amber (not her real name) came up to me, quietly said “Thank you,” and as I replied “You’re welcome,” she grabbed my arm, looked me in the eyes, and with tears streaming down her face said, “No…! thank you so much! We had nothing and now I can feed my family."
�Moments like that remind me exactly why we do this. Yet we could not do any of this without you partnering with us. This year, we are on track to reach 160,000 people, and next year our goal is to reach over 225,000+. Every single year, we’re able to serve and love more people in our community — and that is in no small part because of your partnership with Messengers of Hope.
As we move into December, let’s make this not only our biggest month of impact, but a season where those who have so little know they are not alone.
�Together, we can help those who feel invisible be seen, those without a voice be heard, and those who feel alone feel loved.
