If you are a resident of the Punkin Center/Haynesville area and plan to conduct a controlled burn on your property, we kindly ask that you notify dispatch before you begin.

📞 Dispatch: 940-495-2131

Calling in your controlled burn is extremely helpful to both our department and county resources. When dispatch is aware that a burn is planned, they can document the information and avoid sending emergency personnel if someone reports smoke or fire in your area.

This helps by:
✅ Preventing unnecessary responses from firefighters and EMS personnel
✅ Keeping emergency resources available for true emergencies
✅ Saving fuel and reducing wear and tear on equipment
✅ Allowing volunteers to remain available for actual incidents

When you call, please provide:
• Your name and phone number
• The location of the burn
• Approximate start time
• Estimated duration
