Since 1947, the Alabama Free Will Baptist Children’s Home has been a place of hope for residents facing difficult circumstances.

Our mission is to provide a loving, Christian home where residents can experience stability, encouragement, guidance, and opportunities to grow. From everyday routines and school to counseling, extracurricular activities, faith, and plenty of fun, we strive to create an environment that feels as much like family as possible.

Our annual Harvest Drive helps stock the Home with the everyday items our residents and staff use throughout the year. From pantry staples and snacks to cleaning products and household essentials, there are plenty of ways to contribute at every price point.

Anything you’d regularly use in your own home is probably something we can put to good use here, too.

Ralinda brings both experience, compassion, and education to her work at the Home. She graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2012 with a Master of Arts in Community Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama. In 2025, she earned her Ph.D. from Liberty University.

Before joining our team, she spent five years working at a community mental health agency. Today, she uses that experience to help provide support and guidance to those we serve.

Outside of work, Ralinda loves spending time with her husband and three children, reading, watching science fiction, and enjoying a good bowl of pasta! 🍝📚

We’re so grateful to have her as part of our team. 💛

It’s Harvest Drive time!! 🍂

Our annual Harvest Drive has officially kicked off and runs September through the end of November! Each year, our incredible supporters come together to help us stock the Home’s pantries with food, household essentials, and other everyday necessities for our residents.

Whether you donate a few items or fill a whole cart, every contribution helps! And if you can’t make it to campus to drop off supplies, monetary donations are always welcome.
