๐ฉต โHe Doesnโt Like to Be Cuddled.โ ๐ฉต
Thatโs what they told us when this sweet old boy was surrendered to rescue.
Wellโฆ apparently nobody told him that. ๐ฅนโค๏ธ
Maybe it was because he was sick and in a lot of pain. But one trip to the vet, some daily meds, and nowwww he wants the head scratches. He wants the belly rubs. He wants to lean his giant body against you and soak up every ounce of love youโre willing to give.
And if you stop petting him?
Oh, heโll politely remind you that the lovings are NOT over yet, with a few slaps of his paws, and if that doesnโt work, he will continuously bark until you pay him attention. ๐คฃ
You walk out of the room without himโฆ he will bark.
You walk out of the house without him? Oh no, not tolerated! HE BARKS!
You take your eyes off him? Big no no! He barks!
Breakfast not ready fast enough? Ding! Ding! Ding! BARKS!
His kidneys and heart may not work rightโฆ but his lungsโฆ putting in the work!
He is on a mission to never be forgotten again!
Sometimes dogs donโt show us who they really are until they finally feel safe. Maybe he didnโt know how to ask for affection before. Maybe he simply needed someone patient enough to let him come out of his shell.
Whatever the reason, weโre just thankful heโs here now. โค๏ธ
This sweet senior deserves to spend his golden years knowing exactly what it feels like to be loved, cherished, cuddled, and spoiled rotten.
Because apparently, this boy DOES like cuddlesโฆ he just needed the right people to give them. ๐ฅฐ๐พ
And we have a feeling heโs going to be collecting all the lovings he missed out on. โค๏ธ
