As an unrelated fact, did you know that snake mating season in Iowa is primarily April and May?

The Eldora Rotary Haunted Trail is excited to announce its expansion into other holidays with its first annual Easter trail. None of us administrators will be there to supervise, there won't be any eggs to hunt, no fixed hours of operation, or really anything set up at all, and the only volunteer we have is this guy. But we're sure it will be just fine.

EDIT: Based upon some inquiries and out of an abundance of caution, we felt it was necessary to confirm this was just an April Fool's Day joke. But the surprising amount of interest in being chased for half a mile by a stranger in a scary bunny outfit is noted for future reference.

As a reminder to everyone, our last night was on October 25th so we are not open tonight and we are not open tomorrow. We're trying to get Google to change its information to avoid confusion. If you show up to the trail it will be closed. Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

Well, that's a wrap on another season, and the first one outdoors at the new Eldora Rotary Haunted Trail!

We want to thank all the people and groups that made it possible to keep this event alive and running, including:

Eldora Industrial Development Corporation for the space, South Hardin High School for the parking, LaVelle Storage and LaVelle Lawn Care for the storage and mowing help, Kane Construction for equipment, the City of Eldora, Hardin County and our neighbors for not descending on us in force after hearing chainsaws and screams, the South Hardin Performing Arts Boosters, and of course all our amazing customers, volunteers and many others who have helped out - including all our usual suspects!

Have a safe and Happy Halloween - and yes, we do plan on seeing you next year!
