Today was a day filled with heartfelt emotions. Gus completed his final visit to the behavioral health unit at IRMC, with the promise of returning in the fall after the local school district resumes its sessions.

The students, staff, and especially Ashlee from Elderton Elementary School showered Gus with a thoughtful gift! Although the nerf ball wasn't visible in the picture, it is being safely nestled in the mouth of one of Gus' siblings. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the students for crafting such beautiful cards - it warmed our hearts to hear that the hallways were adorned with cherished pictures of Gus and Gordie! While we regret missing the vibrant artwork, we celebrate a triumphant year with your students and eagerly look forward to reconnecting next year. We're also thrilled that you got to meet our dear friend Sadie! Thank you again for your kindness. May you have a happy, healthy, and of course fun, summer break!

Gus’ human sister was much more excited about Olive Garden today than he was.

His human sister really played him out today though… his favorite part of the Olive Garden was the air conditioning.
