Today, Monday August 3, 2026, is forecasted to be CODE YELLOW (80–89°F Heat Index – Elevated Heat Conditions).
At this level, early heat stress is possible, particularly for employees and volunteers who are new, returning, or not yet acclimated.
Supervisors should:
Monitor employees and Volunteers, especially during the first 14 days of acclimatization
Ensure water is readily available
Encourage hydration and rest breaks
Begin planning for rising heat conditions
Employees and Volunteers should:
Drink water frequently
Take breaks in shaded or cooled areas
Report early signs of heat illness
Watch for symptoms in coworkers
Reminder: All temperature thresholds are based on the heat index (temperature + humid)
