AYUDH Americas, the international youth wing of the non-governmental organization Embracing the World (ETW), empowers younger members of society to work collaboratively in identifying global issues and creating innovative solutions for social service, green initiatives, personal empowerment, and intercultural exchange. Each year we hold a youth summit called The Ripple Effect 2016, a platform for
youth to come together in a series of discussions and workshops lead by renowned leaders of social change, learn how to create and sustain effective change. In 2015, the youth declared climate change, hunger, and education as top priorities, and pledged to plant 500 trees, collect 1,000 pounds of trash, serve 1,008 meals, and save money that often goes to unnecessary items for ETW education funds. Each year AYUDH members from all around the continent come together in a four day long conference, called “The Ripple Effect,” to collaborate on what issues they feel most important today, and find common solutions. We have thirteen chapters that span from Canada to Costa Rica, and we work together during the year to meet these goals collectively.
