Hello friends and neighbors,

The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, in partnership with the Office of Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, Council District 14, invites you to take an online interactive survey to help shape the future of Huntington Drive and Mission Road through El Sereno and Lincoln Heights.

Your input will help identify key community destinations, landmarks and places of cultural significance for wayfinding along the 4-mile corridor, including the places that matter most to you, destinations you visit regularly, and destinations that are important to our community.

The survey also collects general sentiments regarding urban design and landscaping elements, amenities, and other preferences to further refine the community’s preferred corridor concept for the Huntington Drive Multi-Modal Transportation Improvement Project.

Today we celebrate a double event in our history. We celebrate the 111th year of E Sereno's full annexation into the City of Los Angeles. El Sereno's history pre-dates the Spanish missionaries. It's older than the City of Los Angeles.

We also celebrate the Wilson Senior High School graduating Arising Class of 2026.

Great documentary about the dirt biking culture that was happening on Elephant Hill (The Heavens) back in the 1960s and 1970s.

The video features stories from and about local dirt bike legends like Denis Kerechuk, Rick Chew (RIP), Russell Beck, John Larson, Jim West, Gary Lungsford, and Mike Lungsford.
