A HUGE congratulations is in order for our three Tournament of Champions (league playoff) teams who battled it out in Redlands this past weekend and made us all proud.
Girls 12U – Coach Robinson
These girls were unstoppable on Saturday, cruising through playoffs and punching their ticket to Sunday’s semis. After another strong win, they found themselves in the finals facing South LA. Down 0–4 just ten minutes in, most teams would’ve folded — but not this squad. They fought hard till the end and finished as tournament runners-up!
Boys 14U – Coach Collard
The boys came in hot — going 3–0 in pool play with just ONE goal scored against them! A tough 1–0 semifinal loss could’ve taken the wind out of their sails, but they stormed back to take third place with an emphatic 4–1 win. Huge props to our senior leaders — Bradley, Lennon, Stone, Kaden, Erek, and our wall in goal, Jack — for setting the tone all weekend.
Girls 14U “Sweet James” – Coach Tridi
Talk about grit! This team played five games with fewer than 11 players — including the finals with just eight. They fought hard against our rival, Manhattan Beach. After a quick goal by MB in the first few minutes, our hard working eight held strong for most of the match before narrowly falling late. A heroic effort and a well-deserved second place finish for these warriors.
Congrats to our two silver medalists and our bronze medal team!
Your determination, teamwork, and heart make Region 92 proud. Let’s hear it for these amazing players and coaches!
