There’s a particular kind of joy in a race paddock — heat off the asphalt, engines barking, kids in oversized team shirts. This Labor Day weekend at Summit Point, the Washington D.C. Region SCCA put Rally4Vets in the middle of that joy and named us their charity recipient. Thank you, WDCR.
Every dollar raised that weekend isn’t for banners or overhead. It’s for Sammy — our service dog in training — and for the long, patient work that gives a veteran back everyday independence. Racers, crews, volunteers, and families stopped, listened, and gave. You moved more than money; you moved a life.
Veterans: there’s another grid to join. Vet the Vote is a nonpartisan way to serve your community at the polls. And if you want to be at the next green flag, come to the 6th Annual Top Dog Championships on September 12, 2026, at Dominion Raceway — bring the family and look for the white WRX.
We do this to build community, reduce isolation, and put real supports — like service dogs — in place where they matter. See you at the next green flag.
