May is skin cancer awareness month.
Did you know that American Indians/Alaska Natives have the second highest rate of melanoma (CDC 2014).
Anyone can get skin cancer. Your skin can be damaged even on cool and cloudy days.
Protect yourself:
✔️Wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, apply 30 minutes before going outside and reapply every two hours.
✔️Wear sun protective clothing.
✔️Wear hats and sunglasses that block 100% UVA and UVB rays
✔️Seek shade, limit sun exposure between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
✔️Use the ABCDE method every month to look for new or changing moles.

Big Foot and Friends Night in Seiling 👣
The Prevention team provided bone and bead necklaces, a Big Foot paint and palette class instructed by Mona, and a Big Foot call contest.
Big Foot had a great time in Seiling. We had over 50 people in attendance tonight.

Thank you to Karen LittleCoyote for speaking tonight, she talked about the importance of learning traditions and culture because it helped her live a better life for herself and for her family. Culture is prevention. ❤️
Thank you Seiling!
