Join the 𝗬𝗙𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗗𝗦 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 beginning September 14 and connect with other fathers who are committed to becoming the best dads they can be.

Together we'll explore practical parenting skills, strengthen relationships with our children, encourage one another through challenges, and enjoy a meal together.

Every donated item has a story, and every donation makes a difference.

Clothing, household goods, books, bags, and other items donated to YFS are shared directly with young adults in our Transitional Living Program and individuals living at Intrada Apartments as they work toward greater independence.

Like most families, we allow 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗴𝗲-𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 after homework, chores, and other responsibilities are completed.
While our days are filled with learning, activities, and interaction, we know that kids also enjoy playing games, watching educational content, and relaxing for a short time each day.
If you are able to provide 3 NEW iPads, we'd be so grateful. Your gift would help provide age-appropriate entertainment and a sense of everyday routine for the children we serve. ❤️

This week was all about United Way at YFS!

Thanks to the ongoing support of United Way of Canadian County and United Way of Central Oklahoma, we're able to provide our emergency youth shelter, counseling services, and foster care program. Together, these programs make up what we call The Caring Center, a simple but powerful reflection of who we are and what we do.

At YFS, caring starts with each other. We support one another like family, and that foundation helps us show up every day for the children, youth, and families we serve.

As a proud United Way Pacesetter partner, we spent the week celebrating the spirit of giving with a few fun theme days. Our team found their twins, traded coffee mugs for some very creative alternatives and toured down Rte 66 through Oklahoma City-"Mighty Pretty".

Were the theme days a little silly? 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙚. 🤔
Did they remind us of the power of coming together for a common purpose? 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆. 👍

We had the pleasure of welcoming Jenny, Jennifer, and Brent from 𝗚𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 for a visit last week. While Gemini has been a faithful supporter of YFS for many years, this was the first opportunity for this trio to see our work up close.

And they brought 𝗚𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗦! They arrived with a carload of school supplies donated by their gracious employees. These supplies will directly support the children and families we serve.

As we walked around campus, we stopped at a special place: a brick pathway connecting two of our buildings. Along that path are engraved bricks honoring individuals and companies whose generosity has helped sustain YFS through the years. The bricks are worn from daily use, but each one tells a story. Among them is Gemini's brick, a quiet reminder of their longstanding commitment to our mission.

Just as that pathway helps connect our buildings, Gemini's continued support helps keep us moving forward, creating brighter futures for the children and families in our community.

Youth & Family Services has the privilege of partnering with some of the kindest churches and congregations in our community. To say we feel blessed simply does not do justice to the gratitude we feel. 🩷

Several months ago, during a conversation with Together We Church members London Lockhart and Britni Garner, they learned about the Back-to-School event we provide for YFS clients. Without hesitation, the two shared a glance and asked, "𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘦 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱?"

They already knew exactly how the members of Together We Church would respond. Families would adopt a shoe request knowing only a child's age, shoe size, and favorite color, then lovingly fulfill that need. It was a simple but meaningful way for their congregation to pour out love to their neighbors.

Thank you, London, Britni, and the entire 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 family. Your generosity and compassion will make a difference in the lives of so many children. ❤️

🥵 When the Oklahoma heat keeps us indoors, we find other ways to have fun!
Today, the kids in our shelter got creative with vibrant sand art and colorful bead projects. It was a great way to stay cool, spark their imaginations, and make the most of these last days of summer break.
Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest smiles. 😊💙
