Summer School Meals are available at many of our campuses this summer! We are serving both breakfast and lunch to help keep children fueled and ready to learn.

Children ages 1–18 and students with disabilities up to age 21 are welcome to participate.

Before the sun rises, our Lunch Heroes are already hard at work serving nutritious meals to children across our community.

Throughout the summer, our EPISD Food & Nutrition Services team continues serving meals to make sure kids have access to healthy food and that no child goes hungry.

For just $4.70, less than the cost of many specialty coffees, schools must provide a nutritious meal and cover every aspect of the meal program.

That reimbursement doesn't just pay for the food on the tray. It also helps cover labor, employee benefits, equipment, supplies, training, utilities, and the many behind-the-scenes costs required to safely prepare and serve meals to students each day.

School nutrition professionals work hard to stretch every dollar while ensuring students have access to healthy, balanced meals that support learning, growth, and success in the classroom. Every meal served is an investment in a child's future.

That's why sharing the story of school meals is so important. School nutrition programs play a vital role in our communities and depend on continued support and adequate funding to keep serving students every day.

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) certification
