Good evening, Northeast neighbors! Tonight, the voters have sent a clear message about the future of our precinct. I stand here with a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility. You have placed your trust in me to serve as your next Justice of the Peace, and I promise you this: I will work every single day to earn that trust.
I want to thank my opponent, Mr. Brian Haggerty, for a hard-fought race. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to put your name on a ballot, and I wish him and his family the very best. To my family—Ashley, Isaac, and Neftali—my team, and every volunteer who stood at the polls and believed in this mission: I salute you. You are the real heroes. Your hard work and dedication have brought us to this moment; thank you for believing and fighting for me.
To those who voted for me, thank you for your faith—this victory is yours. To those who did not, please know that I am committed to being a judge for all of Northeast El Paso. The campaign is over, and the time for division is behind us. We are one community, and our goal is the same: a fair, efficient, and compassionate justice system that treats every person with dignity, always tempering justice with mercy. When you as an individual succeed, we all succeed.
Now, the real work begins. We have heard the concerns of our neighbors, and we know the challenges ahead. It is time to roll up our sleeves, rebuild our connections, and get to work. Whether it is getting our youth back on track or righting wrongs of the past, we have a lot to do. My door will be open, and my focus will be on serving this court with the integrity, knowledge, and experience you deserve. We aren't just moving into an office; we are moving our community forward.
I have lived in this community for over thirty years, and I have never been prouder to call the Northeast my home. I have dedicated my life to fighting for those who could not fight for themselves and enhancing the quality of life for my neighbors; I am honored to continue that mission from the bench.
Let’s get to work for a better, stronger Precinct 2. I look forward to meeting you all at the upcoming June 17th Northeast Hope Coalition meeting at the Veterans Park pavilion and answering any questions you may have .
Thank you, and God bless you all!
