Thank you to Terri Gallardo for allowing me to post this on our TCF page.
What an amazing Grief workshop the 915 Compassionate Friends Grief Support had yesterday for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings!
I have been a bereaved mother for almost 19 years and I continue to struggle with the fact I live without one of my children everyday of my life. The one thing she made crystal clear to me is, we all move forward because life demands this from us but moving forward is not always a straight line, it goes up and down and sideways. Also there is a difference between feeling lonely and being alone.
Elizabeth Robles presented “As the World Moves On” she captured the hearts of our bereaved community like no other. Some of us wept as we heard her presentation, we felt like she “witnessed our pain, she “got it” she was walking beside us! Thank you Robles Robles Merliz and Corinne Chacon for your support and always willing to give your time, heart and soul.
Thanks to El Paso Community College on Viscount that allowed us to have our event in their campus
And thanks to our steering committee, Patricia Ocampo Wright, Raymond Cagann, Nancy Cagann, Robert Gallardo, Mary Grace Sanchez Mascorro,
Erika Parada, Maria Villalpando, Rosie Raulston, Alma De Dios for all the hard work in planning this amazing event.
