The Association is the second oldest historical organization in the City of El Paso. The Missions are the oldest Missions in the entire United States and have served the Catholic Community continuously since the 1600's. We partner with Historians in Texas, New Mexico and the State of Chihuahua Mexico to educate the community of our shared history. Our historical costumes have been used in Chihuahu

a many times in their celebrations and recently the Historians in Ciudad Juarez used our reenactment as a model for the celebration of their 323rd Foundation. Our members have also been honored by the Spanish Government for their contributions to the History and cultural cooperation of the US and Spain.

Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for a hybrid walking tour of Ysleta. Discover some of the "lost" landmarks of the area and learn the history through rare archival photos and a guided tour. The tour will start at the Mission Valley Visitor Center and end with a no-host lunch at Gabriel's Cafe.

Join us on Sunday, April 19th from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the Main Library in Downtown El Paso to learn about the Forgotten Histories of the First Thanksgiving. There will be performances, lectures, crafts, fresh produce, and so much more! Food will be provided by Café Piro, which was named a finalist for Best Chef: Texas in the 2026 James Beard Awards. This event is free and open to the public.

Practice the impressionist tradition of En Plein-Air 🖼

En plein air is the practice of painting in outdoor spaces. In this workshop, we will study Plein-Air painting and master landscape visuals using the natural beauty of San Elizario. Whether you are a beginner painter or a pro, the basics of painting outdoors will be taught. This workshop will be taught by our one and only museum director, Andrea Figuroa.

Artist Bio:
Andrea Mariana Figueroa Dávila is a visual artist and museum director based between El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting and minor in museum studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. Her work has been exhibited on both sides of the border, including Museo el Chámizal National Memorial, Rubin Center for the Visual Arts, San Luis Contemporáneo, Traffick Artspace, and Paradox Gallery. She currently serves as Director of Los Portales Museum in San Elizario, Texas.

The El Paso Mission Trail Association would like to invite everyone to attend our Founder's Day Celebration on Saturday, February 28th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Mission Valley Visitor Center. Join us in celebrating 40 years of service in the community. There will be special presentations, live music, refreshments, a silent auction, and social dancers from Ysleta del Sur Pueblo.

Jane Hall and Skip Clark, some of our original founding members, will be going down memory lane to talk about the beginnings of our organization.
