The El Paso Mission Trail Association was chartered in 1986 by Sheldon Hall. Several members serve as

The Association is the second oldest historical organization in the City of El Paso. The Missions are the oldest Missions in the entire United States and have served the Catholic Community continuously since the 1600's. We partner with Historians in Texas, New Mexico and the State of Chihuahua Mexico to educate the community of our shared history. Our historical costumes have been used in Chihuahu

a many times in their celebrations and recently the Historians in Ciudad Juarez used our reenactment as a model for the celebration of their 323rd Foundation. Our members have also been honored by the Spanish Government for their contributions to the History and cultural cooperation of the US and Spain.

Join us on Saturday, August 22nd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Mission Valley Visitor Center for our next Coffee at the Trail. Our special guest speaker is Nicole Roque, the Community Engagement Specialist at Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site. This is a great opportunity to learn about Hueco Tanks and how it has provided for people in this region for thousands of years.

Additional parking can be found behind the Sun Metro Transfer Station on the corner of Harris St. and Zaragoza Rd. This is a free event and is open to all who are interested in attending. Don't miss out!

The El Paso Mission Trail Association will officially unveil the mural painted by Robert Dozal at the Mission Valley Visitor Center on Saturday, August 15th. The mural honors the rich history, culture, and spirit of the El Paso Mission Trail and our local community. We are proud to celebrate this meaningful addition to the historic trail corridor, made possible through the support of the El Paso Mission Trail Association, City Representative Lily Limón, El Paso County Commissioner Iliana Holguin, and the generosity of many private donors.

There's still time to stop by the Mission Valley Visitor Center to view "Desert Bloom: El Paso Women Cultivators of Change," an exhibit that offers a compelling look at the powerful influence women have had in shaping the community of El Paso. We are open Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and on Fridays from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Additional parking can be found behind the Sun Metro Transfer Station on the corner of Harris St. and Zaragoza Rd. Don't miss out! The exhibit will be up until the end of June.
