Honoring Tarana Burke 🤎

We honor Tarana Burke because long before the world was ready to listen, she was already holding space.
She created the Me Too movement to center Black and Brown girls who experienced sexual violence not as a trend, but as a lifeline rooted in empathy, access, and healing.
Tarana reminds us that healing isn’t loud.

It’s intentional.
It’s community.
It’s believing survivors and providing real support not just awareness.

At I See Me in You Foundation, her work mirrors our mission to support women and children as they heal, rebuild, and start over with dignity and care.

Figured I should reintroduce us 🥂✨

💜 Welcome to I See Me in You Foundation! 💜
We are on a mission to support moms and children who are starting over whether it’s after trauma, major life changes, or simply needing a fresh start. We provide emotional support, access to resources, parent education, and regulation tools to help families feel safe, empowered, and ready to thrive.
Our focus areas include:
💜 Empowerment Career guidance, financial literacy, and job training for moms; educational support for children, including those with disabilities
💜Wellness Mental health support, emotional regulation strategies, and wellness programs for moms and children
💜Resources & Support Parenting guidance, childcare assistance, educational resources, and practical tools to help families rebuild
💜 Healing & Growth Trauma-informed support and encouragement for women and children navigating life transitions
We believe in the power of community and the strength of every mom and child we serve. Together, we can build a future filled with hope, resilience, and possibility.

The drive will be ending November 20th! 💜

Side note: I did try to capture photos at the shelter of the families there but the runs I ran into today were not having it rightfully so lol. Hopefully I’ll have better luck with staff members just to give everyone reassurance that the donations are being given to Reynolds home! 💕

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we’re shining a light on the realities that countless women face daily. Over 100 women in Sudan Unalived themselves so they would not be SA’S Together, we can make a difference by educating ourselves, supporting survivors, and taking action.

At I See Me in You, we’re on a mission to provide essential resources, raise awareness, and empower women both locally and globally. At I See Me in You Foundation, we believe in the power of healing and community. This month, we’re focusing on healing, empowerment, and creating safe spaces for women and children who have experienced trauma.

💜Why I Started the I See Me in You Foundation 💜

As a survivor of sexual abuse as a teenager and someone who has faced homelessness with children, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find hope and support. There were moments when I felt completely alone, and navigating life as a mother in crisis seemed impossible.

That’s why this foundation means so much to me—because I know what it’s like to need a helping hand, a safe space, and a community that believes in you when you’ve been through the hardest times. 🌱

I See Me in You Foundation is my way of giving back, to be the support I wish I had during my most vulnerable moments. Our mission is to empower women and children to overcome their challenges, heal from trauma, and find a brighter future.

We’re just getting started, but I’m committed to making this journey one of hope and empowerment for every woman and child who needs it.
