The Arkansas Teenage Rodeo Association was established over 10 years ago for the youth of Arkansas. Over 300+ young cowboys and cowgirls from the ages of 3 to 19 compete against peers enjoying the fun and friendly competitive atmosphere of rodeo. We are kicking off the 2021 rodeo season in October and all the rodeos will be in El Paso, Arkansas at the 2 Bar 2 Are

na at Crossroads Cowboy Church. To be able to compete for end of the year prizes you must be a member and have competed in 7 rodeos. Our membership has grown and we encourage every young person to be involved and join us for a fun packed 2021 rodeo season.

The end of the season marks a time for nominations of new board members. We have a four board members who have decided to resign from their positions. All positions can take nominations. The board voted to recommend the current board members in the 26/27 season for the following positions: President, Vice-President, Barrel Director, Roping Director, & Steer Wrestling Director. Votes for the current volunteers and the newly nominated positions will be voted on at the open, general meeting on 09/26/26.

Important notice: Finals and Year End points.
I have had a parent request a review of the year end points from the finals. This is completely within their right being within the 10 day margin of time for questioning. I do not manually calculate points. It is completed by the rodeo program. Since this request was made, I will be looking into the finals, average, and year end points to calculate myself. If there happens to be a correction required I will give notice privately to the contestant and publicly on this page. Thank you all for understanding.

I feel like today was a closing of an era. After 5 years of working in the office I submitted the last rodeo results to the ARTS program. Being the secretary has been one of the most rewarding things I have done. From the time I began working on rodeo 'stuff' I was never Finley's mom. I was everyone's mom. The draw was never rigged and the ruffies never got to pick their bull. I have been asked by more than one contestant, "why am I so and so in the draw?" and I would just shrug my shoulders and say that was the program, not me. I know some of you don't have good things to say about me and that is fine but truthfully, I have treated every contestant with fairness. I have celebrated with the kid that just won their first check and spoke encouragingly to the kid that just checked the results page to see they just didn't make the cut. All of that was a gift to me. Your kids made a mark on my heart. I look forward to seeing everyone at the awards banquet in September. Have a fun summer. Keep traveling down the rodeo trail!
