We at the Lone Star Chapter wish a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to the United States Army. They celebrate 251 years of dedication to our nation. Older than our nation, the volunteers that formed the Continental Army paved the way in blood and bone so that 250 years later we could thrive and celebrate our way of life, today.

We at the Lone Star Chapter would like to commemorate this day in celebration of our beloved National Flag.

58 Years in the Making: A Wrong Righted for Vietnam Veteran Jose Magdaleno.

Fifty-eight years ago, U.S. Army veteran Jose Magdaleno sacrificed for our country on the battlefields of Vietnam. He earned a debt of gratitude that should have been paid long ago. Yesterday, that debt was finally honored.

The Military Order of the Purple Heart Lone Star Chapter was deeply privileged to host an official award ceremony to present Mr. Magdaleno with his long-overdue Purple Heart Medal.

It takes a village to honor our heroes, and this historic moment wouldn't have been possible without an incredible network of partners dedicated to making things right. A massive thank you to:

The Warrior’s Journey & Endeavors Health and Wellness Center, GECU, Grand Canyon University, and the Benavides-Patterson All-Airborne Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Association.

Thank you to the local Community whose overwhelming support reminded us all that a soldier's sacrifice is never forgotten, no matter how much time has passed.

The presentation of the Purple Heart is a solemn reminder of the price of freedom. For Jose Magdaleno, this recognition is 58 years late, but its power is undiminished.

Please join us in thanking Jose Magdaleno for his bravery, his resilience, and his service. Welcome home, sir. Congratulations.

The members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Lone Star Chapter 393 are honored to support our local JROTC and ROTC programs by attending and participating in the award ceremonies we are invited to throughout the year.

There is something truly meaningful about a Purple Heart recipient presenting the Purple Heart Leadership Award to a young cadet. It represents sacrifice, resilience, leadership, and service above self.

These moments connect generations of service members and remind our future leaders of the values that strengthen our nation.

We proudly support JROTC programs because they help develop disciplined, respectful, and responsible young men and women who will become strong citizens in our communities.

We also support the mission of ROTC in developing future military leaders prepared to serve with honor and integrity.

To every cadet receiving recognition — continue to lead from the front, serve others, and never stop striving for excellence. Your future matters, and we are proud to stand beside you.

To the El Paso and Veteran Community

The Military Order of the Purple Heart Lone Star Chapter 393 and the Warrior’s Journey cordially invite you to attend a presentation 58 years overdue.

Vietnam Veteran Jose Magdaleno will be presented his Purple Heart for wounds sustained in direct contact with the enemy in Vietnam.

His award was never awarded to him and 58 years later he received it in the mail. We will right this wrong with an award presentation at the Endeavors Health and Wellness Center in the GECU Estrella Event Space.

If your organization would like to present a certificate to him, please bring it the morning of the event.

This great event is on May 22nd at 10 am. Please come out and celebrate this great El Paso Hero.

Please Share and attend if possible.
