We were recently contacted by Chulo‘s family, with a plea to help them find him a new home. He has done well with the family & most pets, but one of the other dogs in the home is not happy with him being there. They have already sought out the advice of a trainer, and determined that the situation is just not safe.
We are thankful that rather than returning Chulo to the El Paso Animal Services 🐾 shelter, they are giving him the chance to remain in their home while they look for another family to adopt him. They have created a profile for him on the Home To Home website, and now we need your help to SHARE!🐾🙏
Here is Chulo’s bio, written by his current family:
“Extremely active, loves playing, running and going for walks. He is the best boy! Super active, super playful, very obedient, great listener, very intelligent and aware, well trained, trainable,
LOVES the water, and the outdoors! He is the best companion and loves attention.
Would be more comfortable going to a home with female, or smaller pets. He wake up with me, cuddles and then we go outside to potty and play. Comes back in and rests, eats, then continues to come in and out all day then goes for a 45 min walk with playtime in the water involved. He is around five other dogs right now, small, medium, and large. He is reactive towards aggressive males. But he has shown no negative signs with females.
Good with adult children, best with respect to his space, boundaries and would thrive with a backyard and a very active, hands on family or companion, he loves activity, hikes... etc.
He needs to be tired out. He is great on the leash, he’s social, aware, protective but not aggressive with humans. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. I would highly recommend no male dogs and no tiny children, as he needs his space, and attention.”
