📢 ATTENTION PARENTS!🐾

We’re excited to introduce our new Kids Club Volunteer Loyalty Card!🐶

Just pick one up at our Check-in table, and once your kiddo has completed 5 volunteer visits, they will earn a FREE Junior Volunteer T-shirt to celebrate their dedication & hard work.😃👍

Kids can come along with parents to participate during our regular Sunday runs, our Sunset runs, and Doggy Day Outs. *Parents must always remain in control of the leash, but kids can help with:

🧼 Grooming & baths
😋 Giving treats & pup cups
💩 The dreaded p**p pick up (😬😆)
💗 Or even just walking with mom/dad on the route to give lots of pets & attention to the pups that so dearly need it.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing things our Kids Club volunteers will accomplish!

Tomorrow is Sunset Run, and our shelter pups are ready to hit the trails, but we need YOU to make it happen! 💛

Join us from 6:00–8:00 PM at the EP Animal Services Main Shelter and help give a dog the best part of their week: fresh air, exercise, treats, and a break from kennel life.

Alan Hodson from Proper Printshop & A M E X I C A will be there fundraising for us🥹 with his amazing Rescue Runners customized hats! 🧢 🐾

DJ Desi Cota will be there bringing the beats! 🎧 🎶

Whether you walk, jog, or simply enjoy spending time with dogs, every volunteer makes a difference.

🐾 Rescue Runners Reminder: Safety First! 🐾

We love seeing our volunteers out giving shelter pups the exercise, enrichment, and love they deserve. To keep every walk safe and enjoyable for both people and dogs, please review these important guidelines before joining us.

⭐ The Golden Rules

✅ Keep Your Distance: Always maintain at least 6 feet between dogs (unless they are kennel mates).

✅ Age Requirement: Dog handlers must be 18 years or older.

✅ Dress Code: Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required, yes, even during the summer!

✅ Facility Access: El Paso Animal Services 🐾 is closed during our events. Only staff and badged volunteers are permitted in kennel areas. If you’d like to meet adoptable dogs, please visit during public hours:
📍 Main Shelter (5001 Fred Wilson): 11 AM–6 PM
📍 Westside Adoption Center (5625 Confetti Dr.): 12 PM–6 PM

🐶 Tips for a Great Walk

💛 Be the Leader: Your calm, confident energy helps your pup feel safe and relaxed.

👀 Keep Eyes on Your Pup: Stay focused and aware of your surroundings throughout the walk.

💧 Beat the Heat: Stay hydrated, take breaks, and pay close attention to your dog’s comfort level.

🚶 Mind the Flow: If there’s a line at the pools or water stations, please be patient or continue around the route while maintaining the 6-foot distance.

🥣 Station Etiquette: Please leave water bowls and pools where they are, they’re strategically placed for everyone’s safety. If you need assistance, an EPAS staff member or Rescue Runners volunteer will be happy to help.

🍪🧁🐾 Juno’s puppies are almost ready to find their forever homes! 💕

A few months ago, Juno and Benny were found roaming O’Shea Road, standing in the middle of traffic and at risk of being hit by a car. Thankfully, a Law N Paws volunteer got them to safety, and soon discovered that Juno was expecting.

Now, thanks to the love and care of LawNPaws , their six beautiful puppies are thriving and getting ready for the next chapter of their story. 💛

Yogi’s day started off pretty good when he headed off for , but just a couple hours into it, it got even better when he ran into the people that would be his new Family!🤗

His volunteer buddies called us and said they were headed back to the El Paso Animal Services 🐾 shelter because his new family wanted to do the paperwork right away and take him home.🥰

Big thank you to Yogi‘s new family for adopting, and thank you also to his volunteer buddies for giving him the opportunity to get out & get seen.❤️
