Nehemiah's Vision

10/13/2026

Our NV Team continues to work day in and day out on the damage that Tropical Storm Eduardo created all over Hardin County. We have once again teamed up with Droddy Roofing on a project. This homeowner was close to giving up after his wife had passed away and then a tree fell through his only working bathroom/shower in his home. He is well on his way to being completely dry in his home. And the inside work still has some things that need to be completed.

We still desperately need volunteer groups to come help work along side our team. And donors and businesses to help offset and cover the costs for these clients and the major damage that needs to be repaired. We have dozens and dozens of families who were uninsured or under insured that truly need the help to fix their homes and ensure their quality of life is restored.

Please contact us today to see how you can help or donate.

Our first major rebuild in Hardin County from Tropical Storm Eduardo is well in to its second week. Major tree/roof damage being repaired along with interior work. Our team is giving it all they have daily. But we are in need of volunteer teams, mission trips, and even just families coming to come pay it forward and serve these families in their time of need.

We also need donations of materials and building supplies to help these projects become a reality for these families Please call or message us today if you can volunteer or donate. God is doing amazing things in Hardin County.

Our team has been doing some amazing work since TS Eduardo hit SETX. This huge job, had a tree through the house when they started. They did amazing work and got it all put back together. Teamed up with Droddy Roofing for the shingles and now the guys are attacking the inside so they can get our special client back in her home safe where she belongs. God is moving mountains for NV. We have another large project starting next week in Lumberton where another tree did major damage to this home. Both of these clients are widows who do not have windstorm insurance. Their quality of life was horribly affected by this storm. And the Lord has helped them start the process of getting back their quality of life in their homes.

We still desperately need volunteers, volunteer groups to contact us to help get the 45+ people on this TS Eduardo waiting list some much needed help. We also need local businesses and industry to come together and donate supplies and building needs for these projects. Please contact us today to help with all these unmet needs. Our team will work tirelessly until the last home need is addressed. God will provide a way for all of this to come together.

Our first major project from this past storm is under way this week. Another similar one to this will begin in Lumberton next week. The tree damage and water damage from Tropical Storm Eduardo was extensive to say the least. Our team was on fire for the Lord this week and got some major work done through this heat. These are our in house team members doing what they do every week serving our clients and communities.

We are asking for volunteer groups to contact us today and schedule a day or multiple days to come be part of this recovery and rebuild process. We have free housing available to teams.

And thirdly this storm did not meet the financial threshold for state or federal funding. Our clients are either uninsured or underinsured and many being elderly and or families in desperate need of help to get their homes back to safe livable conditions. We ask for businesses, organizations or individuals that want to contribute financially to the material costs please contact us today.

As we work through the process of getting and then us receiving all the damage reports and needs for homes compiled and assessed that were affected by the recent Tropical Storm to Hardin and Jefferson County we ask for patience and grace. There are a lot of boots on the ground and different government and non profit organizations working together to be as thorough and accurate in the emergency needs and then the long term recovery needs of those affected. Pray for those affected, those who are working to help start the recovery process and those who will be working for months and months to come in the rebuild and recovery process. With that said please only leave one Voice mail message on the office line. Our office staff is working diligently to make sure all calls are returned. We have families with trees completely through roofs and homes. Those cases will take precedent of course. So we pray for patience and grace. Minor repairs will be looked at and worked on once the emergency cases are completed first.

Also our need for volunteer teams, building supply donations are paramount to make our ability to work as quickly and efficiently as we possibly can. We know God will provide. But if your business, your church or civic group would like to volunteer or donate to this rebuild mission please contact us today!

We got our first list of assessments to complete with some of our partners at other local non profits. It is going to be a lot of work for quite some time to get Hardin County the help they need to recover from this Tropical Storm and the damaged it caused. There are also a half dozen or more homes in Jefferson County with major tree damage and more. Most all of our residents are going to be uninsured or Under insured. So we will need to find ways to bless these families and their homes in the rebuild process.

If you know of any companies that would like to donate materials (shingles, plywood, Sheetrock, trim, paint, windows, and more) We are in the process of securing a shop or warehouse in Hardin County to store the supplies which will be needed.

If your church, civic group, or you individually would like to schedule a day, days or weeks at a time where we can provide housing for your mission trip or volunteer trip please contact us. We have that capability as well.

This will be a long process and there are boots on the ground who are already working and have been working since day one. The long term recovery work will be here for some time to come. Please do not hesitate to contact us today with questions or your will/want to help or donate towards supplies. It’s a Blessing to Be a Blessing! Let’s show this community and the families affected how much God loves them and how much we care about them by getting this work completed. Our team has finished another home project this week where partnerships mean so much while serving the Lord and our communities. This family was referred to NV by a local church with some serious needs for the occupants of the home. NV was able to do the construction side of their needs but was blessed to partner with Sleep in Heavenly Place to ensure that three kids received beds and bedding and would have a bed to sleep in once the construction side was done.

Partnerships, volunteering and donations is how we are able to continue to serve and bless those who truly need the help and services we provide.

In the coming months we will be transitioning to storm recovery for possibly over 50 families or more the reports are still coming in, who suffered damage or loss from our latest TS Eduardo. Most of the damage is in Hardin County and some in Jefferson County.

We are asking for volunteer groups, churches and civic groups to contact us so we can set up projects and get these families homes restored. We are also asking local business interested in donating material to contact us as well. Together we can accomplish this monumentous task and serve these families in Hardin and Jefferson County. We have housing arrangements available for larger and smaller groups who would like to come for mission or volunteer trips. We can be contacted at 409-498-4200 and [email protected]

The storm last week was supposed to be a small rain event. That’s not what it left in its path of destruction. Hardin County saw the most damage along with Jefferson County. We are currently working with Hardin County to get the latest damage reports. It looks like close to 40 homes that are going to need extensive work done to help them recover. We have half a dozen or more with the same problems in Jefferson County. We are asking volunteers, volunteer groups and any companies or individuals who are willing to volunteer time, labor and funds to purchase material to contact us. Help us get these families homes repaired. We will have a housing location for any groups or teams that want to come work with us. Our team is finishing up a big project and will be working on this new storm damage for the months to come. Please call the office 409-498-4200 or email us at [email protected] to learn how to help or plan a volunteer trip.
