A Message from our Elder, David:

🔥🌶️ A WARNING TO ALL CHILI COOK-OFF CONTENDERS 🌶️🔥

Well, well, well… it appears the time has come for the REIGNING CHILI CHAMPION to step back into the kitchen and defend the title. 🏆

I’ve heard rumors that a few brave souls are planning to challenge the throne this year. Bless your hearts. 🙏

Let me remind you of a little story from 1 Kings 18…

Elijah stood alone against 450 prophets of Baal. They brought their best. They prepared their altar. They cried out for hours.

And then Elijah called down FIRE FROM HEAVEN. 🔥

Not since that day on Mount Carmel has the competition been so thoroughly ROASTED. 🌶️💀

Now, I’m not saying my chili is divinely inspired…

But I AM saying you might want to bring a prayer team. 🙌

So dust off those Crock-Pots, dig out Grandma’s secret recipes, and bring your best effort.

Because this year, I’m not just bringing the heat…

I’M BRINGING THE WHOLE BURNT OFFERING. 🔥🔥🔥

See y’all at the Fall Festival!

🏆 THE CHAMP IS BACK.

P.S. — Second place is still a blessing. Remember, the Bible says to give thanks in ALL circumstances. 😂

In today’s message, Pastor Isaac Portillo teaches from Jonah 4:5–11 about Jonah struggles with God’s mercy because he believes the people of Nineveh deserve judgment. God uses Jonah’s circumstances to teach him that His compassion outweighs human anger and that He cares for people far from Him.

Join us online for a time of worship, prayer, and teaching from Pastor Isaac as we continue exploring the story of Jonah and his struggle with anger when God showed mercy to the people of Nineveh. Together, we will look at what this passage teaches us about God’s grace, mercy, and compassion, while reflecting on how His Word challenges us to examine our own hearts and responses to others. Grab your Bible, join us from wherever you are, and be encouraged as we worship, pray, and learn from the Word of God together. All are welcome!
