Rio Grande Safe Communities Coalition Our vision is establish safe and healthy communities in the El Paso del Norte Region.

The Rio Grande Safe Communities Coalition is a division of the Trauma Department of the University Medical Center of El Paso. Alcohol is a leading cause of traffic crashes and fatalities in trauma cases in the region. Through the Rio Grande Safe Communities Coalition, the University Medical Center seeks to prevent and reduce the number or alcohol-related traffic crashes and fatalities.
