Perches Funeral Homes to Illuminate the Star on the Mountain in Honor of Families Served in February El Paso, TX — February 2026 — Perches Funeral Homes will illuminate the Star on the Franklin Mountains in deep blue light on February 22, 2026, paying tribute to families they have served during February and commemorating the one-year anniversary of the passing of Angel Gomez, co-founder of Operation H.O.P.E., who passed away on February 27, 2025. Each month, the lighting of the El Paso star honors families who trusted Perches Funeral Homes during difficult times. This February, the deep blue light recognizes lives remembered and love that endures. The blue glow symbolizes infinity, love, and hope. This tribute also honors Angel Gomez's legacy and the partnership between Perches Funeral Homes and Operation H.O.P.E. in serving the El Paso community.

Getting ready for our Trunk of H.O.P.E. event happening this Saturday, December 20,2025 at 10 AM at the EPPD Westside regional Command Center located at 4801 Osborne. Bring the kids out and join us at this family fun event kids get to pick a toy. Take pictures with the superheroes and meet our local first responders. This is the first come first served event. Please remember parking will be behind the regional Command center at the Westside community Church.
