Today, Alliance of Border Collaboratives had the privilege of providing free rapid STI testing to unhoused El Pasoans thanks to the generosity of Corner of Hope, a vital program of the Rescue Mission of El Paso. 🧡

Corner of Hope is dedicated to restoring dignity and health by offering showers, laundry, case management, and essential services to our unhoused neighbors. Their team is on the front lines every day, meeting people with compassion and practical support.

We are grateful for their partnership and shared commitment to building a healthier, more connected community. Thank you, Corner of Hope, for welcoming us and allowing us to care for those who are often overlooked.

📢 Did you know? 1 in 5 gay and bisexual men living with HIV in the U.S. are unaware of their status. Knowing your status can save lives including YOUR OWN. 💡

🌈 Yesterday, on June 21st, during Pride Month, the team at Alliance of Border Collaboratives proudly provided free rapid HIV/Syphilis STI screenings to our community at The Toolbox, a beloved gay bar in El Paso.

🙏 We’re incredibly grateful to The Tool Box Bar staff for their hospitality and support in creating a safe, welcoming space where people could take control of their health.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride is about visibility, celebration, and health equity. It’s a time to honor the LGBTQ+ community’s resilience and to make sure everyone has access to life-saving resources because our health matters.

🧡 Thank you to everyone who showed up, got tested, and stood proud. Together, we’re building a healthier Borderland.

Today we honor Juneteenth; a day of reflection, resilience, and freedom!

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom; more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

It is a powerful reminder that justice delayed is not justice denied and that Black liberation is essential to the health and healing of all communities.

At Alliance of Border Collaboratives, we stand in solidarity with Black communities and remain committed to equity, inclusion, and empowerment every day of the year!

We believe that access to healthcare is a human right, especially for our indigent and underserved neighbors. No one should be left behind when it comes to knowing their status and protecting their health. ❤️
