Over the next two months, our graduates will enjoy summer adventures, make new memories, and get ready for the exciting journey of middle school.

As they leave Milam Elementary School behind, we wanted them to have something special to remember their time here—and thanks to Amy's Vinyl Creations, they do.

We are so grateful for the beautiful Fifth Grade Celebration shirts created for our graduates this year. More than just a shirt, they are a keepsake of friendships, accomplishments, and memories from their elementary school years.

Our students may be moving on, but they will always be part of the Milam family.

Thank you to Amy's Vinyl Creations for helping us send off our Fifth Graders with a cherished memento they can hold on to for years to come. Your generosity and support helped make their celebration even more meaningful.

To the Class of 2026: We are proud of you, we will miss you, and we wish you nothing but success as you begin your middle school journey. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang.

Field Day was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Our students laughed, played, cheered each other on, got soaked, made memories, and celebrated the end of another incredible year at Milam Elementary School. Seeing so many smiles across campus reminded us exactly why we do this.

We are incredibly grateful to the more than 20 volunteers—including active-duty service members and VIPS-approved parents—who gave their time and energy to make this day possible. Whether you monitored a station, served food, helped with setup, or spent all day in the sun supporting our students, thank you. Your willingness to serve our school community made a lasting impact.

To our teachers, staff, and coaches: thank you for your partnership and support throughout the day. You spent hours outside encouraging students, helping activities run smoothly, and ensuring everyone had a safe and fun experience. We could not have done it without you.

To our students: thank you for bringing the joy! Your laughter, excitement, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm made every hour worthwhile. We hope today's memories stay with you long after summer begins.

And a very special thank you to the Fort Bliss DECA Commissary for their generous support. Your contribution helped make this celebration possible and allowed us to send our students and staff into summer with full hearts and happy memories.

As we close out the school year, we are filled with gratitude for this amazing community. Parents, volunteers, teachers, staff, military partners, and students all came together to create something special.

Thank you for an incredible year, Milam Mustangs. Have a safe, fun, and well-deserved summer. We'll see you next school year!

Congratulations to our Ben Milam 5th Graders!

What an incredible year it has been! We had an amazing time celebrating our fifth graders as they prepare to take the next big step.

To the Class of 2026, thank you for the memories, the laughter, the leadership, and the spirit you brought to our school. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and can't wait to see the great things you will do in middle school and beyond. We wish each of you the very best as you begin this exciting new chapter!

A special thank you goes to the wonderful volunteers who helped plan, prepare, and execute our Fifth Grade Celebration. Your time, creativity, and dedication made the day memorable for our students and families.

🎉💦 FIELD DAY IS TOMORROW! 💦🎉

The Ben Milam PTA is excited to celebrate an amazing year with our Milam Elementary School Mustangs!

A few reminders for families:

✅ Send your student with a change of clothes and a towel
✅ Water shoes are permitted and may be changed into during activities
✅ Turn in your signed permission slip if you haven't already
✅ Parents will not be able to attend Field Day activities

After all the fun and games, students and staff will enjoy optional hot dogs, ice pops, and juice pouches provided by the PTA. We will have a few items for students who do not want hot dogs, such as fruit cups, applesauce pouches, raisins, or Goldfish. Students will still attend their regularly scheduled lunch period.

Wait... there STILL isn't a winner?!

The Milam Elementary School PTA Pizza & Ice Cream Party Challenge has been running, and NO class has claimed the prize yet! Paper reminders went out last week with students.

🏆 The FIRST class to reach 100% registration wins a pizza and ice cream party sponsored by the PTA.

That means:
✅ Returning students registered
✅ Students leaving the school have completed their exit form in the front office

That's a wrap on the spring Scholastic Book Fair at Ben Milam Elementary!

A huge thank you to the many volunteers—both new and returning—who gave their time throughout the week to help our students discover new books and foster a love of reading. We also appreciate all of the families who joined us during our Parent Shop nights and supported the fair.

Because of this amazing community, we raised $4,213.06! These funds will help us finish the school year with fun activities for our students and start the 2026-27 school year strong.

Congratulations to our volunteer drawing winners, and thank you to everyone who signed up for a shift. Events like these are only possible because of the incredible support of our Milam families and volunteers.

Today, we celebrated the volunteers who helped make the 2025-26 school year such a success at Milam Elementary School.

Whether you volunteered at events, supported classrooms, helped behind the scenes, served on committees, or simply stepped up whenever help was needed, you made a difference for our students, staff, and families. Thank you for your time, talent, and dedication.

We were also proud to recognize two incredible members of the Milam team, Mr. Ric Alarcon and Yesenia Goris, with our Milam PTA Champion Award. Their partnership, support, and commitment to our school community have strengthened the connection among the PTA, staff, and families.

To top it all off, Ben Milam PTA was recognized by the PTA Delegates Luncheon for our outstanding volunteer hours and for achieving 120% of our membership goal this year.

These accomplishments belong to all of you. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us build a stronger, more connected school community.

💜 What a SUPER day at our Month of the Military Child Park Play Date! 💜

We loved seeing nearly 40 families come out to Biggs Park to play, connect, decorate, and fly kites, and spend time together as a community. 🪁✨

Thank you to every family who joined us and helped make the morning so special. These events remind us how important it is to create spaces where relationships can grow, kids can play, and families can feel connected and supported.

We are so proud of the community we are building together through the Ben Milam PTA. 💜
