Our Mission

Troop 13 in Fountain, Colorado serves girls from ages 11 to 17 years of age. Our goal is to provide community and conservation service, promote ethical and moral leadership training, and inspire girls to be young women in becoming leaders. We strive to help our future leaders to become our voices in all aspects of our society - whether it be in government, social awareness, faith-based beliefs, or entrepreneurship. Families in the Fountain, Fort Carson, and surrounding locations are welcomed to join our troop with the understanding that our primary focus is providing a safe environment to learn.

Youth Protection is paramount to the success of our program. Bullying, harassment, abuse (sexual, physical, or emotional), exposure to violence, or neglect has no place in Scouting. Our troop has a Zero Tolerance policy to violations of Youth Protection and by Colorado Law - both our Youth leaders and Adult leaders are mandated reporters. Any violation of our Youth Protection standards will result in the notification of local Law Enforcement and to the Scout Executive of the Pikes Peak Council, BSA. Parents in our Scouts, BSA program are required to take Youth Protection Training because we believe that children look to us (Adults) to keep them safe.

Scout Oath - On my Honor, I will do my best to God and my Country and to obey the Scout Law. To help other people at all times. To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law - A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
