A huge congratulations to our incredible Don Haskins Band students for their outstanding performance at the Middle School Band Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation! Your hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice truly paid off.

🎵 FALL BAND CONCERT & BAKE SALE! 🎵

Join us for an evening of music and treats as our Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band (including Percussion) perform in their Fall Concert! 🍂🎶

📅 Wednesday, October 29th, 2025
📍 Don Haskins PK-8 Main Gym
🕔 Report Time: 5:00 PM (to the Band Room)
🎶 Concert Begins: 6:00 PM

👕 Uniform:
• 2025–2026 Band T-Shirt
• Blue Jeans or Blue Uniform Pants
• Tennis Shoes

🍪 BAKE SALE DONATIONS NEEDED!
We’re asking for your help to make our bake sale a success:
• Symphonic Band: Drinks (juices, sodas, water, etc.)
• Wind Ensemble: Individually wrapped baked goods & snacks

📦 Please bring donations to the Band Room by Monday, October 27th, 2025.

🎶 CORONADO BAND NIGHT 2025! 🎶

Get ready for an amazing night of music and school spirit as our Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band (4th, 5th, & 8th periods), and Advanced Percussion perform at Coronado High School!

📅 Friday, October 24th, 2025
📍 Coronado High School Gym & Stadium

Schedule:
🕓 4:40 PM – Report Time
🎵 5:00 PM – Rehearsal
🍕 5:15 PM – Pizza Time
🏈 7:00 PM – Game Starts
🎺 7:45–8:15 PM – Half-Time Performance

Reminders:
🎟️ Parents must purchase tickets to attend the performance.
🧾 Students must be signed out by a parent after the show.
👕 Uniform: 2025 Band T-Shirt, Blue Jeans or Uniform Pants, and Tennis Shoes.

🎶🥁 We’re kicking off our first fundraiser of the year to support our amazing band program!

Your support helps provide equipment, music, competition fees, food, transportation, and more—everything our students need to shine. ✨

This one’s simple and safe:
✅ No selling.
✅ No door-to-door.
✅ Just support from our community!

👉 Each student is gathering a list of 20 working adults who may be willing to support our band. With your help, we can reach a wider circle of supporters who believe in our students’ success.

🎶🎉 What an amazing year it’s been for the Sun Bear Band! 🎉🎶
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our End-of-Year Band Picnic and awards! 🧺🥁💙

Here are just a few of the incredible highlights from this year:

🏆 Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band both earned Superior Ratings at UIL Concert & Sightreading — bringing home Sweepstakes Awards!
🎺 For the first time ever, TWO ensembles from our school earned Sweepstakes at UIL! 🙌
🥇 We earned a record-breaking 149 solo & ensemble medals — the most in school history!
🥁 Our Percussion Ensembles rocked the Del Valle “Conquer the Rhythm” competition — and shoutout to Mr. Esquivel for winning the Open Division!
🎶 Beginning Band crushed it with a Superior Rating at the Beginning Band Festival!
🌟 Huge congrats to Ivan Arras Terrazas, Leonardo Morales, and Mateo Torrez for earning spots in the All-Region Band!

And of course, a massive THANK YOU to our incredible band directors 👏💖 — your time, patience, and dedication mean the world to our students!

Congratulations to all our amazing band students who participated in Solo & Ensemble this past weekend — the Sun Bear Band brought home a total of 149 medals! 🥇🎶 Way to go!

A huge shoutout to our percussion students for their outstanding performances at the Del Valle Conquer the Rhythm Competition — you rocked it! 🥁🔥 They even got a special treat watching Mr. Esquivel perform! 🎤👏

And last but certainly not least, congratulations to our Beginning Band for earning a Superior rating at today’s competition! 🌟👏

Great job, Sun Bears! 🐻🎵
