Welcome to our page "Birds of Pray 915/Support For Michelle''!
Recently, our dear friend and Instructional Coach at Canutillo High School, Michelle Rawlinson Smith, received the difficult news that the breast cancer that she beat in Spring of 2020 has returned. It is currently metastatic and attacking her hip bone. This page is intended as a source of information for friends and family (and any wellwishers!) who would like to lift Michelle and her family up--emotionally, financially, and spiritually. The next several months will be crucial for Michelle's healing. Prayers, positive thoughts, and supportive energy are most welcome! As you can imagine, Michelle has a lot on her plate right now and is going to focus on getting treatment. Financially, we would like to assist her as much as possible so that she can concentrate on healing her body and attending sessions with counselors and a cancer coach. Our hope is to establish a financial cushion so that, should the need arise for Michelle to take FMLA, her insurance is still covered and paid for.
We will be attaching a donation link here shortly once it has been approved. We would like to make it clear that this donation link is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL AND NOT AFFILIATED WITH CISD IN ANY WAY. Eagles, and any other prayer warriors (Birds of Pray--get it?) are welcome to post encouraging messages of support. Michelle has an Administrator covering this page, but if you would like to post messages of support she will still see them. Michelle has spent 23 years supporting children and families across Texas. It's time for us to show the love and grace that Michelle and her family most sincerely need.
