Every employee has a story worth sharing. Every opportunity has the power to make a difference.
As we continue celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), we’re proud to highlight one of our own, Renalda Rodriguez, who shares her journey at ReadyOne through American Sign Language (ASL).
Renalda, a ReadyOne employee who is deaf, has a long history in the garment manufacturing industry. Her journey with our organization spans several chapters, and she recently returned for her third time, bringing years of experience, dedication, and a passion for the work she does.
With several family members who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Army, Renalda also shares a personal connection to ReadyOne’s mission of supporting our nation’s military.
In her story, Renalda reflects on how the workplace has evolved, the challenges of learning new sewing techniques, and the support and accommodations she receives from her team. She also encourages others to explore the employment opportunities available at ReadyOne.
Her story is a reflection of why the Program matters.
As a proud participating nonprofit in the AbilityOne Program, ReadyOne is committed to providing meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Through this program, employees have the opportunity to contribute their talents, develop their skills, and play an important role in manufacturing protective garments for our nation’s military.
Renalda’s journey reminds us that behind every garment we produce is a team of individuals whose experiences, talents, and dedication make our mission possible.
Thank you, Renalda, for sharing your story and for being a valued member of the ReadyOne team!
Protecting military heroes, one stitch at a time!
