Last weekend the First Command El Paso Office hosted an active duty service appreciation event at the Chihuahuas Baseball stadium downtown El Paso. The First Command El Paso Texas office was honored to sponsor our annual Chihuahua Baseball event with the students from the class of 74 CSM Academy. These leaders are graduating this coming up week and return to be force multipliers throughout the Army. We appreciate all these leaders do every day. This group is truly emulating the phrase "Back Bone of the Army!"

Advisor Jordan Nelson is pleased to present this school year’s University of Texas at El Paso ROTC Financial Leadership Writing Contest winner Cadet Patrick Burcaw as part of the First Command-ROTC Financial Leadership Development Program. His exceptional submission displayed how he expects to lead financial readiness with his future troops. She is awarded the $300 grand prize and a $250 donation from First Command to the UTEP Fighting Miner Battalion cadet fund. Advisor Jordan Nelson is pleased to present this school year’s University of Texas at El Paso ROTC Financial Leadership Award to Cadet Gavin Hinojos-Tomeny as a part of the First Command-ROTC Financial Leadership Development Program. The award recognizes a ROTC Cadet that demonstrates best financial management practices while planning and executing a unit activity. Cadet Gavin Hinojos-Tomeny is awarded $250 and an additional $250 will be donated to the UTEP Army ROTC unit activity fund.”
Advisor Jordan Nelson is pleased to present this year’s First Command UTEP ROTC Financial Leadership Scholarship to Paul Siko. The Financial Leadership Scholarship recognizes a ROTC enlisted staff member demonstrating exemplary financial readiness in pursuit of their own personal education.
