We have several wonderful dogs waiting to find their forever homes at our rescue!

Each of these sweet pups was abandoned and deserves a second chance with a loving family. Every dog has their own unique personality, and a description can be found under each photo to help you get to know them better. Every dog comes with age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.

If you’d like to schedule a meet and greet, send us a message! You can also visit our page to read their full bios or submit an adoption application.

If you aren’t able to adopt right now, please consider sharing this post to help these deserving dogs find their families. ❤️ We can also always use donations to help cover vetting, food, supplies, and everyday rescue expenses. Every share, donation, and kind word makes a difference for these dogs.

If you’ve found a stray dog, cat, or other companion animal, we’re happy to help scan for a microchip at no cost. Please message us to set up a time! We are located in Far East El Paso in the Montana Vista area.

Microchipping is one of the best ways to reunite lost pets with their families. It’s permanent, can’t fall off like a collar, and greatly increases the chance of a safe return home.

Let’s help get the lost pets back home!

Our rescue is beyond full. Between multiple new intakes, medical cases, and long-stayers like Lizzie and her puppies, supplies are disappearing faster than we can replace them.

These two newest boys were abandoned in the desert. The smaller puppy had been starving, and now panics at the thought of not having food again. Watching him finally eat safely and fall asleep with a full belly was heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.

We are asking our community to help us keep going for dogs like them.
Right now we urgently need:
• Puppy food
• Adult dog food
• Bleach, paper towels, laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies
• Blankets and towels
• Toys and enrichment items
• Donations toward veterinary care, grooming, and daily rescue expenses

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and can provide donation receipts for any contribution.

Even small donations make a huge difference when many people come together. If you can help in any way, donation information will be posted in the comments.

Please also consider sharing this post so it reaches more local animal lovers. Thank you for helping us give these dogs a second chance. ❤️

Another sweet dog brought in off the streets. This young basset hound was found in Socorro with no microchip and is currently on a 3-day stray hold with us while we attempt to locate his owners.

His kind finders have been caring for him for the past 3 weeks, so this boy has likely been away from home for quite some time. Despite everything he’s been through already in his young life, he is incredibly sweet and soaking up every bit of love and comfort he can get.
If you recognize him or have any information, please contact us. Please also share to help us reach potential owners.

If you would like to help support his care, donations toward vetting, food, and supplies are always appreciated: https://linktr.ee/desertoasisrescue

🐾 Found Dog – Help Us Find the Owner! 🐾

We’ve found a dog in the Far East in Montana Vista that appears to be a possible Belgian Malinois / German Shepherd mix. No microchip was found.

If you believe this may be your dog, please be prepared to provide:
• Identification (vet records, photos, etc.)
• Gender confirmation
• Description of the collar (color when lost)

We will be holding this dog for 3 days while we actively try to locate the owner. After that, we will begin the process of finding a foster or adoptive home if no owner comes forward.

Please share to help us reunite this pup with their family! ❤️

Here’s an update on our beautiful mama, Lizzie, and her 4 precious pups! ❤️

Despite the rough start she had, Lizzie has settled into motherhood so beautifully. She is an incredible mama and takes such amazing care of her babies.

The pups are growing like weeds, already over 2 pounds!

Lizzie has been battling a mild uterine infection along with a respiratory infection, but she’s nearing the end of treatment and making great progress. Unfortunately, the babies did catch her respiratory infection, so we are supporting their tiny bodies through it, but they are still getting all the love, care, and nourishing milk from their amazing mama.

If you’d like to help us continue caring for this sweet little family, their biggest needs right now are:

💛 Wet food for mama (high protein — she’s currently eating Pedigree wet food, it’s what she’ll eat to keep her milk supply up)
💛 High protein dry food for extra calories
💛 Old towels
💛 Puppy shampoo (lots of baths needed right now)
💛 Donations toward veterinary care

Links will be in the comments if you would like to help out!

Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated and supported their care! It truly makes a difference for this little family.
Thank you for loving them with us and getting these beautiful souls off the street! ❤️

Today has been a wild whirlwind!

We were asked to step in and help a rescue mama found on the side of the road in Deming, NM, covered in ticks and suffering from what appear to be dog attack wounds. She was brought into a wonderful rescue, treated, vaccinated, and scheduled to be spayed Monday.

But life had other plans. Today, she gave birth.
Eight puppies total… sadly, four were stillborn, but four are here, alive, nursing, and doing well!

Not every rescue is equipped to handle newborn puppies, so we’re stepping in to give mama a quiet, safe space to heal and raise her babies. This was completely unexpected, and we are scrambling a bit to get everything we need to support them properly.

If you’re able to help, we are in need of:
• Puppy pads
• Towels/blankets
• A safe pen/enclosure for mom & babies
• Paper towels
• Cleaning supplies (lots and lots)
• Food for mama
• Puppy food in a few weeks

Every share, donation, and kind word helps more than you know. This sweet mama has been through so much. Let’s give her and her babies the best chance possible!

🚨 We need help for one of our rescue cats 🚨

One of the cats in our care is very sick, and we will be getting him to the vet as soon as possible. He has developed severe lesions in his mouth and is unable to eat, and we are extremely concerned about him. He tries to cry out in pain, but his mouth hurts so bad that his voice is silenced.

If you are able to help, we would be so grateful for any support to help cover the cost of his veterinary care.
💛 Every dollar makes a difference
💛 Even sharing this post helps more than you know

As a small rescue caring for so many animals, situations like this are incredibly difficult, but we never want to have to say no to an animal in need.
