San Gabriel Valley Bicycle Education Center

San Gabriel Valley Bicycle Education Center The SGV Bicycle Education Center is a volunteer-powered community bicycle education and repair studio. Below are 4 easy ways you can make a difference.

Thanks to the support of over three dozen local businesses, organizations and individuals, Bike San Gabriel Valley launched the SGV Bicycle Education Center on Sunday October 25, 2015. The center is a volunteer-driven, grassroots effort to provide a low/no cost space for community members to learn how to repair and maintain bicycles. Abandoned/donated bicycles are repaired and recycled back into

the community at low-cost to residents, with all funding generated utilized to cover program operating costs (e.g., tools, supplies, rent). Conveniently located just a few blocks from the Rio Hondo Bike Path behind the El Monte Airport, the center occupies two classrooms at the Jeff Seymour Family Center, thanks to the generous support of the El Monte City School District. The project's success will depend on ongoing community support. We hope you will get involved in any way you can, whether it be donating financially, volunteering your time, and/or passing forward any extra bike parts you might have collecting dust. Please note donations to BikeSGV are tax-deductible!
