VISION
We envision healthy, resilient, safe, and just communities empowered by nurturing healing-centered practices that enable strong healthy relationships. MISSION
Itβs our mission to support BIPOC individuals, communities, and organizations by facilitating safe, healing, and connected spaces through our tailored programs, services, and advocacy initiatives that promote sustainable healing and j
ustice practices. We aim to create a world where everyone can fully realize their potential and all individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. VALUES
HEALING JUSTICE
We believe in achieving justice through balancing our work and personal lives. We acknowledge our personal, cultural and societal histories come into play, as we strive to achieve justice. Through a process of healing our past, reconciling our present and striving for an envisioned future we can learn to live in peace, happiness, gratitude and abundance. We believe all people should live and work with confidence, care, transparency, creativity, honesty, safety and pleasure. BOLD ENVISIONING
In our efforts to advocate and change the current systems of marginalization and oppression, we must take active efforts to be creative, curious, explorative and take risks. We embrace imperfection, face our fears with a driving passion to re-imagine the world as we would like to see it. We encourage and support the visionaries of an equitable, growing and thriving society, valuing the process as much as the end result. COLLECTIVE VOICE - ACCOUNTABLE SOLIDARITY
Our work and our liberation is deeply bound together with many communities. We foster relationships and understandings that will allow us to do our work in a way that uplifts all people. We recognize that this requires taking proactive steps to ensure our activities do not unintentionally reproduce the oppression of the dominant system by excluding the needs of women, Black, Indigenous, People of Color, disabled people, or any other group that is often denied voice in the decisions that impact them. We engage in the ongoing practice of solidarity, and remain open to feedback from all communities we touch. STAYING CONNECTED
To stay rooted and honor ourselves, community and each other, we must learn and practice the tools of connecting communication, emotional intelligence, culture of care and be trauma informed/sensitive. In practicing Self-Awareness and Active Reflection doing so, we foster our individual and collective resilience, deepen relationships and support those we serve, through patience, kindness, understanding, compassion and love. We practice acceptance, flexibility, forgiveness, kindness. We value knowledge and learning in all forms, embrace imperfection and support generative conflict. PARTICIPATORY GOVERNANCE
People involved in and touched by our organization deserve to be a part of the decisions that impact them. Power and decision making structures that allow people with direct experience of issues are not only more supportive of personal sovereignty, but also more effective in achieving goals. POWER WITH, NOT POWER OVER
We are creating a space where all people can step fully into their power. We support each other to exercise our power in ways that support the power, visions, and development of one another. We interrogate and transform relationships where one personβs empowerment relies on the disempowerment, control, or coercion of another. RADICAL INCLUSIVITY
We are creating a space where all people can belong, regardless of nationality, race, religion, class, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or any other dimension of their experience. We acknowledge that we live within and have been conditioned by a system that centers some dimensions of humanity at the expense of others. In order to create a radically inclusive space we must take proactive steps to elevate the people, identities, cultures, energies, and characteristics that our dominant system marginalizes. In so doing, we are able to invite, accept and show up as our true selves.
