The El Mirage Firefighter’s Charities are proud to announce the formation of El Mirage’s very first Honor Guard unit! This select group of volunteers performs ceremonies such as Posting of the Colors, Patriotic parades, Public dedications, and of course various duties for Funerals of our fallen Brothers and Sisters. Happy Veterans Day to all the people that signed their name on the dotted line to protect and defend the constitution. From our family to yours we thank you. Our honor guard has the privilege of conducting the Veterans Day ceremony at Pueblo El Mirage today. We have 2 veterans ourselves in this ceremony.

Crews came across a Vietnam vet today on a call that was in need of some asssitance. Crews helped build a bed frame, bought some appliances, delivered and installed the appliances and stocked the fridge with food and water. Good job E121!

There is currently a back to school event at the Dysart community center in El Mirage. Free kids haircuts, backpacks, and school supplies. The fire department is there giving out helmets and stickers. Hurry before it’s too late!

We had our Veterans Day charity pancake breakfast this morning. It was a good time and great turn out. Thank you to all of those that supported us and donated to our cause. If it was t for your generosity none of what we do would be possible. Thank you to all of our volunteers to make this event a success as well. Good times for good causes.
