We are very thankful for the volunteers who came out to help us at the last minute this weekend. Our task list was up in the air and changing until late Friday afternoon. But our contractor came through with some work for us to do. And let me tell you, these volunteers knocked it out of the park! They pulled the old ceiling tiles down and the more than 500 staples out that held the tiles up. They wiped the walls down and painted primer on a few walls. I’m so proud of this crew and the progress we made this weekend.

We’ll have another work day this Saturday from 9:30am to 2pm. Come as you can and we’ll find a place for you! Call us for more information.

Introducing Haley, our Client Services Support.

Hello, my name is Haley Reed. I am from Little Rock, AR, but I moved to Hampton a couple of years ago. I am happily married and have the sweetest little boy who calls me Mama. I can truly say I am blessed in every way!

God has led me down many roads, including working several jobs in healthcare and even joining the National Guard, but I believe He specifically put The Hannah Center in my path for many reasons. Not only has He called me to serve, but helping others is also one of my passions.

At The Hannah Center, my title is Client Services Support. While it might not sound like a huge role, it allows me to connect with our precious clients and have hands-on experiences with some of the work that happens behind the scenes.

I love this ministry with all my heart. God is good all the time!

Meet Betsy Lewis, Our Magnolia Center Coordinator!

I’m Betsy Lewis, and I am so thankful to have the privilege of serving as the Coordinator for the Hannah Center in Magnolia.

I have been married to my husband, Carl Jones, for almost 14 years. We will celebrate our anniversary on August 25th! Together, we have seven adult children and 22 grandchildren, ranging in age from 14 months to 27 years. Family is a huge blessing in our lives!

Earlier this year, after surviving a brain stem hemorrhage, I found myself praying about what God might have for me to do next. I wanted something that would challenge my mind, give me purpose, and allow me to serve others.

Then I opened an email from the Hannah Center looking for someone to work two days a week as the Magnolia Center Coordinator. It sounded perfect. And it has been.

Since beginning this job in April, I have fallen in love with the ministry and with the young women God has brought through the doors of our center. I am continually amazed at the stories they share, the needs they bring, and the opportunities we have to come alongside them with practical resources, encouragement, and, most importantly, the hope of Jesus Christ.

God has showered me with Mercy and Grace. He has reminded me again and again that He is a Good, Good Father, and I am so grateful that He allowed my journey to lead me here.

One of my favorite passages of Scripture is Philippians 4:4-9: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

That passage has become especially meaningful to me. God has been faithful through every season, and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve Him by serving these young women and their babies. What a blessing it is to be exactly where God has placed me.

We were grateful to welcome Stan Lovins from PreBorn on Monday. He shared God's Word and blessed The Hannah Center through prayer .

PreBorn has generously provided us with two state-of-the-art ultrasound machines this year. Stan also prayed with us over our new location, which we hope to move into before the end of the year. We are thankful for God's provision and for partners like PreBorn who support this important ministry.

Meet Holly, our Nurse Manager!

Hi! My name is Holly Wallace. I am the nurse manager at The Hannah Center. I have been married to Mike for 33 years and we have three children and three grandchildren. One of those three grandchildren is due to make an appearance in February 2027!

I "retired" from nursing in 2001 when my youngest child was born. I became a preacher's wife and a homeschool mom. I never thought that I would work as a registered nurse again. Then when my baby was a senior in high school, I decided to take a refresher course. I went back to work in the hospital in June of 2020. In July 2022, my youngest son had a motorcycle wreck and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He needed me full-time, so I quit my job. Thank the Lord, he was able to return to work 8 months later. I took a couple months to recuperate and began to wonder what I should do next. While I was waiting and praying, we got an email from The Hannah Center. There was a need for an office coordinator in Magnolia. I realized that was where the Lord wanted me. I fulfilled that role for a couple years before becoming nurse manager.

I just celebrated my 3rd year with The Hannah Center and am so thankful for this opportunity to serve the Lord and our communities. My hope for this ministry is to see many souls saved and lives changed by the grace of God. I have learned so much during these past 3 years and am excited about what the future holds. I want to share a favorite verse with you and I have so many that I have struggled to pick just one. I decided to go with the first one that I learned because I needed it. Psalm 27:1, "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" That verse still brings me great peace. I pray that it will do the same for you.
