The weather's looking good for the [most-likely] last outdoor movie of the year. Thanks to the time change and shorter days, we can kick things off a little earlier so it doesn't get so late. If all goes according to plans, we should be wrapped up before 9:30.
So, make plans to attend The Barn outdoor theater this Friday, 11/14.
Arrive any time after 6.
The evening will officially start at (or around!) 6:30 with a presentation by Terry Mears about Men's Connect, a Butler County group kicking off in January whose goals are to:
Bring the youth to church and closer to God
Build real relationships and mentorships
Grown in life, faith, and leadership
Serve your community and make an impact.
Please note that the Men's Connect presentation will take the place of the typical, pre-movie live worship.
Following Terry's presentation will be a short, Thanksgiving themed animated feature.
The main feature is a reshowing of last month's movie. Yes, a few of us forged on through the mist and cool temps, but we wanted more to enjoy this film, so we're showing it again! This film focusses on sons returning to the Father and men mentoring and forming the next generation of men, similar to a sword being shaped in a forge.
Sorry, no official chili competition as mentioned in a previous post, but, if you want to bring enough to share, I'm sure someone will help you consume it. Please consider Biblically clean ingredients if you do.
Popcorn will be provided, but plan to bring a chair (or blanket, etc.) to sit on, your own NA beverages, and snacks for your own enjoyment throughout the evening.
Check back for any updates, but it's looking like the weather is going to cooperate this time, so looking forward to seeing you at The Barn at 9143 SW 110th St this Friday at 6!
