The wind and rain didn't have a positive effect on the CASA float on Saturday, but we still had a message to give. Thank you to Kerry Unrein Painting and Signs for donating the banners and our little riders who held up under the conditions. They were cold and soaked by the time it was over, but still seemed to enjoy participating.

Although warm, spending time at the Go Augusta event yesterday was a good way to let others know how important CASA volunteering is. We will be at their September and October events on the third Sunday of the month from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. You can learn more about the need for CASA volunteers and check out the other booths that have food, hand crafted items and more.

Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASAs, are trained volunteers appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interest of a child or children who are involved in a court case because of abuse. More volunteers are needed. Contact Tri-County CASA at 316-320-0238 for more information.
