Mark your calendar! The plants are being grown at the garden by the UC Master Gardener Program of Contra Costa County and will be transported and sold at the Great Tomato Plant Sale in Richmond on April 19th. Fantastic selection of heirloom varieties selected for our local climate. And not just tomatoes, vegetable starts too. Follow the QR code for more information on the plants that will be for sale.

Spring is in the air, it's time for a garden work party! Join us this Saturday, March 8th from 9 until noon for our regular 2nd Saturday work party. Come for an hour, come for the morning.

This Saturday, the Master Gardeners will be constructing temporary hoop houses to grow the vegetable seedlings for its annual Great Tomato Plant Sale. (The local West County sale will be held at the Richmond Civic Center Library on Saturday, April 19th from 10:00 to 3:00 PM, mark your calendars!)

Helping hands are always welcome! In addition to the hoop house construction, there are of course weeds to pull.
