American Legion, Louis Hagen Post 340 The Louis Hagen Post 340 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring veterans, mentoring youth, and sponsoring programs in West Contra Costa County.

Meetings are the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 am.

On Saturday, May 16, 2026 the 17th Annual Walk of Honor for Our Veterans will take place. The walk will begin at 10:00 am. Further information can be found at https://sfrcf.org/walk-of-honor/

Transportation from the Crockett Community Center to the parking area on the east side of the Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge. Return transportation will also be provided.

Good morning members,

We are inviting all members to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25th 2026. The ceremony will be held at the Hyatt Pleasant Hill at 1:00 PM.

The flag pole in front of the El Cerrito Veterans Hall has been repaired. After our monthly meeting on Saturday, November 8th, we raised the flags. We are ordering a larger United States Flag in the near future.

Happy Memorial Day to all of our Veterans and to the members of Post 340!

A quick update on what has been going on at your post:

We finished our Financial Audit Report and Post Officer Certification. We also completed and submitted the Post Data Report and the Consolidated Post Report. All reports and audits have reflected that your Louis Hagen Post is financially secure going forward into the future.

The Post Bylaws we go through the second reading on June 14th at our monthly meeting.

Post 340 again showed up in numbers at the District 9 Quarterly meeting and we thank the members who were in attendance.

Good morning veterans and fellow Legion members. A couple of updates of note we would like to pass on.

In this month's American Legion Magazine on page 38 there is good information regarding finances and moves to make in 2025.

A lot of changes are coming as they always do with a new administrative change. We will keep you posted as to how things will affect our local veterans and Legion members.

Our next meeting will be on February 8, 2025 at 1000 am.
