Happy National Pride Month! 🌈
 
Pride began as a protest, a courageous stand against discrimination and violence targeting the LGBTQ+ community. Since the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, we have come a long way, and today Pride is a joyful, powerful celebration of the strength, resilience, and brilliance of our LGBTQ+ neighbors, families, and loved ones.
 
Yet we know that joy and struggle often walk hand in hand. In the face of ongoing and cruel attacks against our Q***r community, the Board of Directors of the Imperial Valley LGBT Center reaffirms our unwavering commitment: every person deserves the fundamental right to live openly, love freely, and belong fully.
 
We stand with you, today, this month, and always.

If you ever need to get something off your chest or need to share your journey with like-minded people, the LGBTQ+ Adult Support Group from IVLGBT is ready to have your back. Facilitated by a member of the community in a completely confidential space, we provide help and conversation with a sense of belonging that's hard to find elsewhere.
Meetings are 5-6PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, with one-on-one talks from 6-6:30PM. Head to our website for more details, or 1073 Ross Ave., Suite E in El Centro to attend. See you there!
